Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper (06/17/94) has battled back from injury to record four Pro Bowl appearances in the last five years. Seen as a talented prospect when he first signed for the Oakland Raiders in 2015, he was later traded to the Cowboys in 2018 after struggling to find form.
The change of scenery paid dividends for Cooper, as he’s had a career resurgence since making the switch. But has there been an impact in terms of his rookie card prices, and are they worth your attention?
Here are three of the best Amari Cooper rookie cards to look out for, with info about each one, as well as an investment outlook looking at the future.
The Best Amari Cooper Rookie Cards
We’ve combed through recent auction data to bring you a list with three of the best Cooper RCs on the market. They all hail from 2015, but which ones make the list?
2015 Amari Cooper Topps Finest #RADC8 (buy on eBay)
One of the few players from the Topps Finest insert set to get a signed version, the Atomic Refractor comes with a range of rare parallels. The card has a strong design, featuring a shot of Cooper with a football clutched in his hand. It’s also die-cut, so it stands out from the crowd thanks to the unique edging.

The on-card auto is found just below the serial number, and the parallels are exceptionally rare. It’s a great opportunity to pick up signed Cooper merch, and it’s relatively underpriced considering what’s on offer.
Parallels: Blue Refractor (/25), Red Refractor (/15), Pulsar Refractor (/10), Superfractor (1/1)
2015 Amari Cooper Panini Contenders Auto Rookie Card #228 (buy on eBay)
The 2015 Panini Contenders is another great Cooper RC. There’s a number of limited Rookie Ticket Variations with college images, which only increase in rarity and value. For example, he’s facing left in the base image, in his Oakland Raiders gear. A second variation has a Crimson Tide college theme and sees him moving in the other direction.
Popular: Cam Newton Rookie Cards
It’s a bit of a nightmare for collectors, especially when paired with the extensive list of rare parallels, but they are some of the better Cooper RCs on the market.
Parallels: Championship Ticket (/49), Championship Ticket College (/49), Cracked Ice Ticket (/23), Super Bowl Ticket (1/1), Printing Plates (1/1)
2015 Amari Copper Immaculate Collection Auto Jersey Rookie Card #163 (buy on eBay)
The final card to make the list is one of the more expensive options for a number of reasons. Immaculate cards are seen as a premium brand, while they offer rare, quality collectibles that are typically a step above the norm. (This card is no different, with just 89 copies of the base version available. The small print run is noted on the front of the card thanks to a serial number.)
Cooper’s 2015 Immaculate Collection is a compelling card, doubling down to provide a quality player patch to go with the on-card autograph. The black and gold design meshes well with his Raiders jersey, and it’s our personal pick as the one to look out for at auction.
Parallels: Gold (/25), NFL Shield (1/1), Tags (1/1)

There’s every possibility that Cooper will have his best ever season in 2020, especially as he enters his physical prime after a spate of injuries held him back over the past few years. It’s certainly fair to say that the switch to the Cowboys has paid off so far.
Consistency has been the main flaw in his game, which is slightly worrying despite the fact he recently signed a five-year contract extension with the Cowboys worth $100 million, taking him through to the 2022 season.
They clearly have faith in his ability to perform in the coming years, but it’s worth remembering that the Cowboys haven’t won a Super Bowl since 1996. The odds look to be stacked against Cooper and his team.
Considering the above, his rookie options are reasonably affordable, even for the rarest versions. It’s clear that investors and collectors don’t think he’ll be able to lead the team to glory along with Dak Prescott, and it’s a little surprising considering his return to form in the past few years.
Another strong season or two should cause the average price of his RCs to rise, and we think he has it in him to prove the doubters wrong once more.
