Buyers Guide and Investment Advice

Altuve hit his 100th career home run in 2019 and went on to notch his 1,500th career hit in the same year. He’s showing no signs of slowing down as of yet and could end up with more records by the time he’s done.

He’s always going to make it into the Hall of Fame, while the future seems bright for his RCs. However, it is worth noting that he was a major figure in the Astros’ cheating scandal which came to light in 2019, and his reputation did take a hit in later months.

When you look at current trends, Altuve’s rookie cards appear to be a good investment if you’re willing to hold for a while, or at least until the cheating saga has started to fade into the background.

He’s still in great condition and plays for a franchise that has the ability to compete for additional silverware in the coming years. Barring no further sign-stealing scandals, Altuve’s cards should be a good investment in the long-term.
