Justin Herbert (Oregon) was drafted by the San Diego Chargers with the 6th overall pick in the 1st round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He was the third quarterback drafted as Joe Burrow (LSU) and Tua Tagovailoa (Alabama) went before the gunslinger from Oregon.

Herbert is the cream of the crop of the 2020 NFL Draft and should have been the 1st QB off the board in our opinion. He has a super high ceiling, a rocket of an arm that can easily beat rangy safeties, and keep tight windows alive. Herbert has a typical NFL QB frame and his play-action is bought and sold.

This is by far our favorite Herbert rookie card released at this point. The card shows Herbert launching the pigskin to an open wideout for a 20 yard gain plus YAC! The card has a beautiful backdrop consisting of rainbow colors spayed on a white background.

Back of the card: “After a successful junior season, Herbert was faced with the option of coming back or heading to the NFL. The quarterback ultimately decided one more year with the Ducks, and strengthen his standing as a program legend. In 2019, he joined Marcus Mariota as the second player in program history with 10,000 career passing yards.”

Justin Herbert rookie cards are worth anywhere between $2 to $50 based on recent eBay auction sales.

We suspect these prices will rise as the NFL season approaches and better cards are released.

As we mentioned we believe Herbert is the best QB in the 2020 NFL Draft and is already NFL ready. The San Diego Chargers was the perfect landing spot for the kid as the Chargers are Playoff ready (in our opinion), especially when he could have landed in Miami with the Dolphins who are in franchise disarray.

We bought a few of the Justin Herbert Prizm rookie cards but are waiting for the higher end cards to be released before spending real cash.
